Akila Aipa's Specialty Twin + 1 set, designed to suit his unique board templates. This high-area Twin was built to be pushed hard through turns with a centre fin for added control.

Overview
Designed by Akila Aipa, son of Hawaiian legend Ben Aipa, this twin fin template was developed to complement the design of his unique board templates, focussed more on performance than aesthetics. Overall a smaller set-up that can be used as a twin or throw the trailer in for a more familiar 'thruster feel'.
Board Types
Performance Glass
Performance Glass (PG) fins are machine-cut from layers of solid fiberglass. These fins are stiff and are widely used by pro-level surfers because the integrity of the flex is maintained under immense force, and in the most extreme of conditions and situations.

New Sizing for Specialty Fins
You may notice new size ratings for our Specialty Fin Range. Previously, all Specialty Series fins were rated an XL. To better reflect fin sizing, we now have 3 new size categories: S-M, M-L, and L-XL.

In fairness to other twin fin options out there, these are the first 'modern' twin fins I've tried. Used some twin keels a few years back but they weren't very responsive. Noel Salas used these during one of his video reviews so I thought I would give them a try. Got these fins in my JS Bullseye and used them in waist to head high beachbreak so far. Thanks, Mr Aipa, Noel Salas and FCS!

Love these fins. Been using the MR fins for a few years now on my Pod Mod and Rocket 9 and thought I’d try a smaller set like the AIPA. They are a lot faster and looser than the MRs and would work just as well on a Rocket Wide. Five out of Five for pivot. Flat out speed demons. 👍😳
